As with everything at the moment, things are having to be set up a little differently, and the Happy Place Festival is no different. Running for it’s second year, this time it’s virtual, it’s free, lasts for one whole month and we are all invited. It is definitely one not to be missed.

What is the Happy Place Festival?

Focused around a theme of well-being, the month long festival, running from 12th June – 12th July, is packed full of passionate people talking about and sharing key tips on physical and mental well-being.

There will be plenty to do from talks, workshops, activities and shopping. Perhaps meditation is your thing, or you love listening to music, or being creative. No matter what, this festival has it all covered and really is designed to connect your mind and body.

As passed on by happiful.com:

“It’s clear that community and connection is more vital than ever,” Fearne shared when she announced the virtual event. “I wanted to work out a way of making the festival happen to give people a way of experiencing helpful classes, workshops, and talks for free this summer. There’s even more content than we would have had at the live event and I’m excited for people to enjoy our month’s long schedule.”

What can you expect?

There are lots of virtual areas at the festival where you can sign up to future sessions. These areas include:

The Talk Lounge: “Draw inspiration as our incredible panel of speakers discuss nutrition, self-care, and more!”

Meditation Mountain: “Relax, unwind and take a deep breath without rejuvenating meditation sessions!”

Family Retreat: “Discover arty activities and exciting workshops for the whole family to enjoy!”

Wellbeing Garden: “Get ready to stretch with vitalising yoga classes for beginners and experts alike!”

The Kitchen: “Join Fearne and our amazing chefs as they bring us together through the power of food!”

Craft Village: “From holistic bath salts to paper flowers, unleash your inner artistry with these awesome tutorials!”

Pledge Wall: “Share your pledges with the people to show the support we all have for each other!”

The Bar: “Loosen up and free your mind with refreshing mixology sessions and magnificent music at The Bar!”

Main Stage: “A diverse range of activities will have your body energised and mind focused in equal measure!”

The Tyla Tent: “The home of relatable, entertaining, and inspiring content.”

The Marketplace: “Explore a selection of sustainable, ethical products from our artisanal vendors!”

So as you can see, there really is something for everybody.

Whilst the festival is free, there is the option to make a donation, which all go to the following charities: Mind, The Prince’s Trust, CoppaFeel, and NHS Charities Together.

The place to be

Nobody can deny the importance of getting a sense of calm during everything that 2020 has had to offer so far, and this festival is sure to create that for us: A time to escape, to refresh and connect with ourselves. Fearne Cotton really has done a splendid job of providing us with that exact opportunity in this incredible festival.

So be sure to check it out, head over to a few sessions, and donate anything you can to help the charities behind it.

We would love to know what you get from the festival if you are able to join any sessions.

Enjoy!
